Female Hair Loss - pt 2.

Upon further research, I have discovered that not all hair loss indicates a cause for concern.

Hair grows in a cycle in which about 90% of the individual hairs on the scalp grow while the other 10% rest and fall out. The Ohio State University Medical Center assures that losing approximately 50 to 100 hairs a day is normal. (Also, the Ohio State University Medical Center states that poor scalp circulation, dandruff, and vitamin deficiencies do not cause hair loss - common myths. So if Cassidy wants to wear a hat that will not cause hair loss and Robby should let her wear a hat.)

This is good news for Cassidy and bad news for Robby.

  1. Calling an incident in mid-March, in near proximity to Robby's bed, Cassidy wore a hatduring an agreeable incident involving mix CDs and McFlurries. Robby is therefore not at all opposed to this method of hair retention, thanks to positive association.

    1. To clarify: the hat is not a retention technique, it merely does not further the hair loss problem. But your comment is appreciated and your lack of opposition to hats taken into account.
